I quite often make announcements or pose questions in Twitter. Sometimes these are related to ICT in education, such as interesting websites I've come across, or articles of interest (either my own or others'). Sometimes they are mini reviews I've written in Blip or Blippr, and sometimes they are about articles I've written on my My Writes blog. And of course there are replies to other people on Twitter.
