| Case Study 02: How can cutting-edge educational technology be made comprehensible and practical by specialists in other subjects?
I was contacted by the senior manager in a teaching subject association. He felt that it would be good for teachers in that subject to be able to use collaborative tools such as wikis. Unfortunately, he knew of nobody in the association who understood enough about such tools to be able to lead others in their use. By drawing on my deep understanding of both the tools and the ICT curriculum I was able to apply the principles to the subject in hand. The outcome was a set of specialised learning and teaching resources that can be used on a number of levels by teachers with various areas and degrees of expertise. |
